Highlights of the Rockies
Breckenridge → Copper → Frisco → Vail
The Itinerary
Meet in Breckenridge
Everyone meets in Breckenridge on the evening of the first day. Check into your lodge - arrive any time. We'll have a welcome meeting to cover all of the adventure details, then share our first dinner together out in the town. Breakfast next morning is at the lodge.

Breckenridge to Copper
Leaving from our lodge on foot, we hike through pine forests and lush open meadows towards Francie's Cabin. We then continue to our first high alpine pass, Wheeler Pass, located between Peaks 8 and 9. From the pass we head down into Copper Mountain and arrive at our accommodation on foot.
Copper to Frisco
After breakfast, we set out along the Gore Range Trail and set our sights on the beautiful high alpine. Alpine lakes containing snow melt, broad meadows, and high tundra guide us toward Uneva Pass at 11,900 feet. From the top, our prior objectives come into view alongside the terrain still ahead. We then descend beside a rushing creek toward Frisco, finishing the day into town on foot, or catching the free trailhead bus.

Frisco to Vail
A short morning shuttle drops us at the trailhead, where the ascent takes us past large aspen groves and open meadows before climbing above treeline toward our two neighboring mountain pass objectives for the day. From there we jump around high alpine basins with gorgeous views before turning towards Vail and heading down Gore Creek. We descend through the valley, where a short shuttle brings us into our final destination, Vail.
Finish in Vail - Cheers & Goodbyes
We're made it! Take your time to explore Vail and curate your next adventure. We enjoy one final breakfast with the group, and final goodbyes. Recount the memories as we wrap up and you begin your next adventure!

We reserve the right to modify the planned route at any time, including on a day-to-day basis, due to weather, trail or area closures, trail conditions, wildfires, and emergency situations. Route changes may include adjustments to mileage, elevation gain, trail selection, start or end points, or the planned itinerary.
Common Questions
Is this tour for me?
If you can hike 6–12 miles a day with 1,500–3,000 ft of elevation gain and want a classic lodge-to-lodge traverse without the 14er summit, this is your adventure. Our 8-week training plan will get you ready.
What if I'm traveling solo?
Many guests join solo. You'll be paired with a roommate (double occupancy) or can opt for single occupancy. Small groups (max 10) mean you'll know everyone by day two.
I've never done a multi-day hiking adventure - can I do this?
Yes, with preparation. Our guides handle all the logistics - route planning, bag transfers, meals, and lodging. You carry only a daypack and focus on the experience.
What about my baggage?
We transfer your luggage between lodges every day. You hike with just a daypack - water, snacks, layers, and personal items. Your bags are waiting when you arrive.
What about meals?
All meals are included on the 5-day adventure - every breakfast, lunch, and dinner from arrival to departure. No wondering where to eat; it's all handled.
What if the weather turns?
Our guides bring trail tested experience and Wilderness First Responder certification. They make every weather and route decision - safety always comes first.
